I was a UX Researcher who mainly specialized in usability testing of 4 Assessment products.
Process
-Stakeholders submitted a project proposal.
-I led/co-led an alignment meeting.
-I drafted a project brief and research materials (testing script) within 3-5 business days.
-Stakeholders provided feedback on the project brief and research materials (testing script) within 3-5 business days.
-Participant recruitment occurred through a user testing platform.
-I programmed the user testing platform for unmoderated user sessions to occur.
-I synthesized data from the usability sessions.
-The draft of my report was reviewed by my supervisor (if necessary).
-I revised and edited my report to present actionable insights to stakeholders.
-After presenting, I sent out a link of the usability testing report to stakeholders.
Impact:
Featured in Renaissance’s July 2024 company-wide product update email for driving insights that helped the organization understand key user behaviors and informed product adjustments aimed at long-term revenue growth. Provided user insights and recommendations that directly led to the UX overhaul of a behavior monitoring product which secured $2 million in Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR). DnA research contributions influenced the relaunch of filter, search, and author functionality. Data-driven insights for an academic and behavior scoring chart, shaped and drove the product roadmap for the assessment product.

I was a UX Researcher who provided actionable, user-centric insights, aligned with top-level priorities, to product owners of 4 user segments of an international, enterprise financial client.

-I revised and edited my presentation deck, then once I received final approval, I sent it to stakeholders 2 days before the presentation readout.
-I presented actionable insights to stakeholders in a presentation deck format.
Impact:
I led data synthesis for an evaluative research project aimed at assessing interest in a fee management tool. My evaluative research contributions were part of a senior leadership-backed proposal for a fee management initiative. I also collaboratively led generative research to gauge the appeal of a digital banking-related service.

Role: UX Researcher (Contract)
Nov 2021 - Nov 2022
I was part of the founding 6-person team that specialized in Rapid Research for small to medium businesses (SMB). Every 2 weeks, 2 prototypes were evaluated by users (job seekers or employers) for iterative research.
Process:
-The designers signed up for (Rapid Research team (RRT) services.
-Research Operations sent out our team screener survey (if the project required employers as the user segment).
-Recruitment began (via research operations OR Usertesting.com).
-The lead researcher for the test cycle, led the planning meeting and created a draft of the test script.
-The lead researcher for the test cycle, led the final prototype review meeting and revised the test script.
-The lead researcher moderated test sessions (2 days, 6 participants) while the support researcher was a notetaker.
-The lead researcher synthesized data.
-The support researcher created a framework for the readout deck.
-The lead researcher presented findings and recommendations.
-The lead researcher socialized the readout deck and the presentation recording.
Impact: I assisted 8 design teams in their decision-making process by identifying what design improvements should be made to address user needs and remain aligned to business objectives.
At Indeed, I also gained experience with projects that occurred between 3 - 5 weeks. For these projects, I was the only or the main researcher collaborating on the project through the moderation of test sessions. These projects focused on 1- 2 designs for just one product team at a time. The designs were evaluated by internal users via concept and/or usability testing.
Process:
-The designer created a Jira ticket for the project.
-My supervisor assigned the project.
-I created and socialized the screener survey (if the project required internal users).
-I created the research plan based on information from the Jira ticket and updated the Jira ticket with a link to the research plan.
-I led the planning meeting and drafted the test script.
-I led the final prototype review meeting and revised the test script.
-I moderated test sessions (at least 5 days, at least 8 participants).
-I synthesized data.
-I presented findings and recommendations.
-I socialized the readout deck and the presentation recording.
-I updated the Jira ticket with a link to the readout deck.
Impact: I clearly identified the design improvements that were needed to optimize the usability of an internal tool that was accessed by 4 user segments.
